OpenVPN connection issue

OPenVPN is a very useful tool to connect to VPN networks. However, I found it has an issue but I am not sure if it is a bug or it is designed this way.

When I first connect OpenVPN to the VPN I was trying to access, it worked smoothly as expected. When I disconnected it to switch to non-VPN environment for other work and re-connected, the VPN stopped working. I tried to kill all OpenVPN processes but that didn't help. I eventually found a process to kill that helped.

There' a process called"'ovpnagent". I need to disconnect OPenVPN first and then kill this process. Then, I can re-connect.

NOTICE: the above steps were performed on a MacBook. I haven't tested on a windows computer yet.
